Winter Park Popcorn Flicks
The City of Winter Park and Enzian Theater produce a cinema series in Central Park (located on Park Avenue) and Shady Park (on New England Avenue). The series is called "Popcorn Flicks" and features classic films on the second Thursday of each month (in the event of rain, the film will be rescheduled at a later date). The films are FREE and open to the public. We encourage you to bring a blanket, a picnic or snacks, and some family and friends and join us! Hundreds of people gather with friends and bring their chairs, blankets, and snacks to enjoy Popcorn Flicks each month!
August 22, 2009 - March of Dimes Mud Volleyball Challenge
Join us for the 2009 March of Dimes Mud Volleyball Challenge on August 22nd. Registration begins at 8:00 AM at the Lee Vista Center near Orlando International Airport. The March of Dimes Mud Volleyball Challenge is a day full of mudslinging fun. The majority of participating teams are corporate teams, with 6-10 players, who wallow all day in 2-3 feet of mud. The March of Dimes Volleyball Challenge is the largest on the East Coast. In 2008 the tournament raised over $202,000 with over 1,800 participants with one goal: to raise money to save babies.
